Workshop description:

In this workshop, you will be introduced to data analysis on the software R. R is the software of choice for statisticians and has become an industry standard. The workshop will cover data cleaning, statistical testing and visualization. After the workshop, you will have the skills to analyze your own data on R.

Note that participants are not expected to have any experience with R.

What are the methodology and/or methods that the workshop will cover?

We will cover the whole process of quantitative data analysis, from reading in the data into the computer software to producing numerical and graphical summaries of the resulting model.

To participate in this workshop, you will need to prepare the following material(s):

Have the softwares R and RStudio installed on your machine. To make sure that they are correctly installed, follow an introductory tutorial online (e.g. Youtube).

At the end of this workshop, you will have obtained the following skills:

  • The participants will be able to do the following with their data set on R:
    • Importing the data set into R
    • Cleaning it
    • Modeling it
    • Visualizing the results

How will the workshop be offered?

I will hold a 2h live session on Zoom during which we will go through a script showing how to analyze quantitative data with R from A to Z.

Booking is available below from 29 April at 8:00.
